SmartWind Limited
We are advising on the development of 4GW of power in Round 3 Zone off Hornsea, one of the UK’s biggest Round 3 offshore wind zones. Our role includes providing property advice, consenting advice in relation to the Planning Act and marine consenting regimes and grid regulation advice on securing connection capacity from National Grid.
Glasgow College NPD Project
We acted for GLQ, a private sector consortium in relation to its winning bid for City of Glasgow College’s £200 million New Campus NPD Project which reached financial close in August 2013
Combined Power & Heat (Highland) Limited
We have advised on this proposal for a £49 million energy from waste plant in Invergordon for nearly 5 years through two successful planning appeals and a Court of Session challenge. A second legal challenge is due to be heard in late 2013
City of Edinburgh Council
We are advising City of Edinburgh Council (CEC) on their pathfinder Tax Increment Finance project to support the development of the waterfront area between Granton and Leith. CEC was the first TIF Project to receive Scottish Government approval and the first in the UK. We are appointed external legal advisor, working closely with CEC in-house legal and the TIF project team
BAE Systems (Property Investments) Limited
Advising BAE Systems (Property Investments) Limited on the remediation and regeneration of the former Royal Ordnance Factory site at Bishopton, near Glasgow, one of the largest brownfield sites in Europe with planning permission for 2,500 new homes
Highway (Management) (Scotland) Limited
We advised Highway Management (Scotland) Limited, a private sector consortium in relation to its winning bid to design, build, finance and operate the Stepps to Haggs section of the M80 motorway
Viridor Waste Management Limited
Advising on two major competitive dialogue procurements. We also acted in relation to two recent planning inquiries for waste proposals. We were recently successful in obtaining permission for a £200 million energy from waste facility at Dunbar and work on the Portobello waste transfer station is ongoing
Glasgow Housing Association
Advising GHA on the regeneration of the North Toryglen area to create a mixed tenure development with support from the Private Sector. This included the development of 100 social housing units for GHA, 60 units for private sale and retail opportunity at the site in terms of the first phase
