Alexandra is a Senior Solicitor in our Commercial Disputes team in London.
She has acted in a variety of property and commercial disputes, including lease renewal proceedings, removal of trespassers, dilapidations claims, forfeiture claims, insurance, and financial and contractual disputes. She also has experience in dealing with worldwide freezing orders, and enforcement of judgments.
Alexandra has acted across the English civil courts, including First Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber), County Court and High Court. In addition, she has also been involved in alternative dispute resolution, including without prejudice meetings, mediations and arbitration.
Alexandra also has a considerable experience of the litigation funding market, and has built good relationships with funders and ATE insurers. She has also acted on contingent fee agreements.
- Representing an office management company in respect of the removal of trespassers from an office block – successfully obtaining an interim possession order, and securing removal of the trespassers.
- Representing business interruption insurance policyholders in a group arbitration to successfully recover £6 million losses arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Acting on behalf of high-net-worth individuals in respect of a professional negligence claim against a firm of solicitors, and securing a favourable outcome at a mediation.
- Successfully registering a foreign judgment in England & Wales and advising on enforcement thereon.
- Acting on behalf of telecoms operators in respect of service of notices in accordance with the Telecommunications Code 2017 and issuing references to the First Tier Tribunal.
- Advising commercial landlords on remedies available following persistent non-payment of rent, including peaceable re-entry and termination of Tenancies protected by the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954.
