At Shepherd and Wedderburn, we recognise that, like many other professional services firms, our name (and the names of our lawyers) is occasionally illegally misused by scammers in fraudulent emails, letters, and faxes to lend credibility to their fraudulent communications.
This page highlights any scams which have been brought to our attention and which we consider may pose a risk to potential victims.
You should exercise caution if you receive any unexpected or unusual communications which claim to come from anyone in our firm.
We do not use Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo or similar email platforms. We will not contact you or seek payment from you via messaging Apps such as WhatsApp. Any such communications purporting to be from the firm are likely to be scam attempts.
Genuine emails from Shepherd and Wedderburn only ever use the domain "@shepwedd.com". We are aware that there have been attempts to use domain names similar to ours to impersonate our personnel. If you need to check with us whether a communication is genuine, please contact us to confirm before replying or taking further action.
If you receive a communication from any email address other than @shepwedd.com it is likely to be fraudulent.
