​​​​​​Tricia is a key part of our Employment Practice group and a specialist in employment law with significant experience of acting for large employers in the energy sector.

She advises on all aspects of employment law, with a particular interest in maternity rights, absence and performance management, disability discrimination, whistleblowing claims, flexible working rights, working time regulations, and holiday pay claims. Tricia conducts her own advocacy, and frequently represents clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings across the UK. 

Tricia is often praised by clients for her pragmatic and savvy approach in resolving disputes.  While she mainly acts for employers, she occasionally act for individuals, for example in senior executive exits. 

She frequently speaks at conferences, and delivers bespoke training to clients.

  • Advising a UK oil and gas operator in relation to re-organisation and redundancy collective consultation process.
  • Acting for a UK regulator employer in successfully defending a constructive unfair dismissal and discrimination claim raised in the London Employment Tribunal.
  • Acting in the widely publicised holiday pay case Russell & others v Transocean & others, which was litigated all the way to the Supreme Court in London.
  • Advising various industry bodies in the oil and gas sector where industrial action was threatened and/or in relation to pay disputes
  • Advising a UK operator dealing with, and responding to, a trade union recognition request.
  • Advising, and acting on behalf of, a senior executive in a sensitive mater where the individual was suspended after having raised a whistleblowing complaint.
  • Advising in many matters relating to grievances, TUPE, restrictive covenants, discrimination, disability, poor performance, changing terms and conditions, redundancies, and trade union disputes.
