Laura has specialised in employment law for over 15 years. She has significant experience representing both employer and employee clients, and advises on all employment law matters, with a particular focus on contentious matters. Laura is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Employment law and regularly advises in the areas of discrimination (including victimisation and harassment); whistleblowing; redundancy; ordinary and automatic unfair dismissal; constructive unfair dismissal; worker status; agricultural worker rights; breach of contract; agency worker rights; settlement agreements; and transfers of employment. Laura is also a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association’s Training Committee and the Law Society of Scotland’s Employment Law Sub-Committee.
Laura has strong advocacy experience, having regularly represented clients in the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeals Tribunal, and has significant expertise in guiding clients through Mediation processes consistently achieving favourable resoltuions for her clients.
