Jamie is a Senior Solicitor in our Property and Infrastructure team. He works exclusively within the real estate development sector.

Jamie has a strong understanding of the legal and commercial considerations that underpin successful property development – from planning and infrastructure through to plot sales and asset management – and has broad experience of working with landowners, developers and third-sector organisations,

He handles the full range of commercial property work including acquisitions and disposals, development projects, strategic land agreements, site assembly/infrastructure and commercial leasing. He also frequently contributes commercial property support and advice to wider corporate transactions.

Acting for several large scale and PLC housebuilders in relation to numerous multimillion-pound developments encompassing land acquisition, land disposal, site set-up and assembly and all related infrastructure work.
Acting for Scotland’s largest commercial port operator in a variety of transactions, including acquisition and sale of development land, grant of land options, commercial leasing and regeneration/redevelopment of their land assets throughout Scotland.
Acting on behalf of a local authority in relation to the acquisition of land and grant of access rights to permit the construction of a key strategic asset as part of a wider local regeneration program.
Acting for one of Scotland’s largest social housing providers in the acquisition of portfolio assets throughout Scotland.
Advising and assisting with all property aspects on the corporate sale of one of Scotland’s largest independent hotel groups.
