Energy/Utilities

• Kendoon to Tongland Reinforcement Project – acting in the acquisition of numerous residential properties to facilitate the expansion of Glenlee substation by SP Transmission plc.
• Eastern Green Link 1 – assisting in advising on the property aspects of SP Transmission plc’s compulsory purchase order to secure land and rights required for this project, as well as completing a number of voluntary agreements for sales, leases and servitudes in connection therewith.
• Crystal Rig – undertaking title diligence on behalf of SP Transmission plc to assist in the preparation of the compulsory purchase order to deliver the grid connection for the Neart na Gaithe windfarm at Crystal Rig substation.
• Multiple acquisition, lease and servitude transactions every year in relation to substations and cable rights for both the distribution and transmission networks across central and southern Scotland, including undertaking title diligence and negotiating the necessary ancillary rights.
• Undertaking title diligence for SP Energy Networks to enable applications for necessary wayleaves.
• Acting for a commercial developer in the negotiation of an option agreement and lease for a battery storage project.
• Negotiating licences, undertaking voluntary registrations and acting in the acquisition of land and rights across various sites for a large public utility provider.

Food and Drink

• Assisting in the acquisition of land and rights for a global drinks business at various sites across Scotland, including for the development of a new distillery on Islay.

General Commercial

• Acting in the negotiation and completion of office leases.
