Alec is a Senior Solicitor in our commercial disputes team, providing advice and assistance to private and public sector clients and individuals on a wide range of disputes including:
- Contentious insolvency matters, both personal and corporate;
- Insolvency applications, including for approval of remuneration, extension of appointments and block appointment transfers;
- Business disputes, including breach of director's duties, shareholder and partnership disputes;
- Commercial contracts, including breaches of contract and enforcement;
- Debt and asset recovery;
- Financial services disputes; and
- Commercial and residential property disputes, including rent and service charge recovery, dilapidations claims, and neighbour disputes.
Alec also has experience of appearing in the Sheriff Courts, including in insolvency, commercial, and interdict proceedings.
Alec has done secondments with a large energy company and a national sport governing body, and so understands the different commercial factors that are important to a client's decision making during the course of disputes.
Admitted in Scotland as a solicitor and notary public.
