Our immigration solicitors offer a comprehensive service for businesses and individuals on all aspects of UK Immigration law, British citizenship, sponsor licensing, and right to work issues.
COVID-19 Advice Statement: Full remote working service
Since the middle of March 2020, our immigration team has been working remotely from home, and we are currently operating a business-as-usual service. All of our meetings have been moved to digital channels, and we are consulting with clients via video conference (all that is required is an email address and a webcam on phone or laptop). The transition to a digital workplace has been a smooth process and we have completed a number of visa applications from start to finish using our home working systems.
Strategic review of immigration position for all existing visa holders
This is a challenging time for people around the world. For visa-holders, particularly those who have visas expiring in the coming weeks and months, the issue of immigration status can be an added concern at a difficult moment. We have been working strategically with our individual clients to bring their visa applications forward where possible so as to provide them with reassurance and protect their immigration status.
Reassurance on immigration compliance
We are living through unprecedented and exceptional circumstances. While we appreciate that many businesses and individuals will be concerned about immigration compliance issues, we would seek to provide reassurance that, while there may be many technical issues to work through, our view is that the Home Office message has been consistent throughout, and that no one will be penalised in the future for actions taken as an unavoidable result of COVID-19. Further information is available in our employer FAQ guide here.
The advice we offer covers all aspects of immigration advice for individuals, families and employers. It comprises applications to the Home Office for people looking to enter or remain in the UK as well as supporting corporate transactions, providing advice on transfers of your international workforce and changes to your sponsor licence. We regularly work with employers of all sizes to undertake audits and training for their Human Resources team on best practice for immigration compliance.
