  • Acting for Metrovacesa, S.A. on the acquisition and proposed development of Walbrook Square (the largest development project in the City of London for 30 years), and on the subsequent renegotiations and termination of the conditional sale agreement.
  • Acting for Metrovacesa, S.A. on the acquisition of the global headquarters of HSBC Bank at 8 Canada Square in Canary Wharf (the largest single property acquisition in the UK at that time), and on the subsequent disposal.
  • Acting for Legal & General on the £246 million forward funding of the 260,000 square feet development of Transport for London’s headquarters at 5 Endeavour Square in Stratford’s Olympic Park, and on the subsequent ground floor retail lettings.
  • Acting for Legal & General on the disposal of the long leasehold interest in Bloomberg Place in the City of London to Bloomberg LP, and on the subsequent disposal of the freehold interest to M&G Real Estate.
  • Acting for Legal & General on the acquisitions of Fremlin Walk in Maidstone, the Meadows Shopping Centre in Chelmsford, the Fix portfolio of 47 trade parks, 1 City Place in Gatwick, and St. George’s House in Croydon.
  • Acting for Generali Real Estate on the pre-letting agreement for the 420,000 square feet development at 10 Fenchurch Avenue in the City of London as a new headquarters for M&G, and on the subsequent retail and restaurant lettings.
  • Acting for CK Assets on the £1 billion acquisition of 5 Broadgate, (the UK headquarters of UBS) from British Land and GIC, and on the subsequent asset management.
  • Acting for Mitsui Fudosan on the consortium arrangements with Alberta Investment Management Corporation and Stanhope plc, and on the acquisition of the Television Centre, West London from the BBC.
  • Acting for J. Safra Real Estate on the acquisition, leasing and subsequent asset management of 144-146 New Bond Street, and the acquisition of 190-192 Westbourne Grove, London.
  • Acting for Kier Property on the acquisition, retail lettings and development of Crownhill Retail Park in Plymouth, the acquisition and development of Western International Park in Hounslow, and on the subsequent disposal of part for a data centre to Virtus.
  • Acting for Clifford Chance LLP on the subletting of 400,000 square feet of their headquarters building at 10 Upper Bank Street, Canary Wharf to Deutsche Bank, and on the subsequent asset management.
  • Acting for MACC Care Group on the options, conditional acquisitions and acquisition and/or development financings of more than ten care homes.
