Sophie has significant experience in a wide range of transactional matters, including in private acquisitions and disposals of businesses and companies, joint ventures and the formation and management of private limited companies and LLPs.

She is also highly experienced in general corporate matters, and advises small, medium and large businesses over a broad range of sectors. Sophie has a particular focus in corporate real estate, having acted for a number of real estate investors, asset managers and property funds in the acquisition and disposal of special purpose vehicles both on and offshore as well as extensive experience in other corporate real estate matters, including joint ventures and M&A work.

Sophie works with the firm’s Private Wealth and Tax team in providing corporate advice to its clients including those with family-owned businesses or those with a requirement for the use of corporate structures driven by wealth and succession planning.

She also has experience in providing corporate structure and governance advice for local authorities in Scotland in relation to their involvement in joint ventures and arms’ length external organisations.
