Laura Barron

Laura is a solicitor in the private wealth and tax and charities teams and advises clients in the preparation of wills, trusts and powers of attorney as well as tax and estate planning. She has wide experience in the administration of a variety of estates, frequently dealing with HMRC on inheritance tax compliance aspects, including executries with complex business and international elements.

Laura advises clients in relation to the administration of the affairs of incapable adults, covering powers of attorney and guardianships. She has a particular interest in tax and succession planning for those with farming and landed estate interests.

In terms of charity law, Laura assists in advising clients in the creation and operation of charities, and also governance matters affecting charity Boards.

Laura is qualified in Scots law and is an Foreign & Commonwealth Office-registered notary public.
