He has advised on matters concerning subsidy control, judicial reviews, international cross-border disputes, National Security and Investment, merger control, and the Chapter I and II prohibitions.

  • Advising on the defence of multiple judicial reviews, including managing document production across parallel proceedings, on an emergency basis.
  • Advising in the defence of several statutory appeals.

Regulatory Advice

  • Advising universities on the interplay of the Human Rights Act in disciplinary investigations.
  • Advising regulators and regulated players on the application of UK law.
  • Advising electricity companies on grid connection reform.
  • Advising renewable energy projects on grid connections, undertaking reviews for their project to connect. 
  • Advising port authorities on energy contract disputes.
  • Advising on subsidy control matters for local authorities and grant recipients.
  • Advising on National Security and Investment Act matters, including filing notifications with the Cabinet Office.
  • Advising companies on the Chapter I and II prohibitions, including on block exemptions and hardcore restrictions.
  • Advising on litigation under the Competition Act 1998.
