Joanna is a Solicitor in the Employment team, advising clients across all areas of employment law, employee relations, and HR issues.

She assists clients with queries on redundancies and disciplinary and grievance procedures. Joanna also has experience of drafting contracts of employment and policies and procedures.

Joanna supports corporate colleagues in managing business transfers and advises on the employment aspects of transactions, including providing advice on Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) regulations. Joanna has experience in contentious matters, supporting clients through the Employment Tribunal process.

Advising a client on cross-border employment issues, obtaining advice the firm’s international network and using our membership of the World Services Group, to advise on the employment legalities of employees working overseas. This has included obtaining advice from jurisdictions such as the USA, France, and Denmark.
Advising a client on tribunal proceedings including on claims for unfair dismissal, discrimination, and application for declarations of permanency under the fixed term contract regulations.
Advising various clients on agency worker agreements with third party labour suppliers, providing employment advice and co-ordinating data protection advice and tax advice on IR35.
Delivering training to clients in various sectors including on how to handle investigations and providing general employment law training.
Advising employees on the terms of settlement agreements with their employers.
