Jamie McRorie

Jamie is a Partner in the regulation and markets practice, with areas of practice including electricity, gas and water.

He has specialist expertise in the regulation of the energy and utility sectors.

Jamie was the former Head of Legal for the Enforcement function at the energy regulator Ofgem, handling high profile and complex cases on licence enforcement, consumer protection and cyber security.

Jamie's experience includes groundbreaking cases into REMIT market manipulation and excessive pricing.  

During his time at Ofgem Jamie was also Head of Legal for energy pricing, market and connections reform, international sanctions, Contracts for Difference and the Capacity Market.

Jamie regularly advises on novel and cutting- edge regulatory matters. Jamie advises on public law, judicial review, human rights, international treaties and sanctions, subsidy control and competition law.
