Gillian provides clients with pragmatic, solution-focussed advice on the full range of employment law and HR issues, including: disciplinary and grievance matters, long term and persistent absence, performance improvement, employment status, and family and flexible working arrangements.
She also supports clients to effectively deliver significant change projects involving redundancy, restructuring and changes to terms and conditions. Gillian has considerable experience in dealing with contentious employment matters, defending clients against unfair dismissal, discrimination, breach of contract and TUPE-related claims brought in the employment tribunal. She has first-hand litigation experience, appearing in the Employment Tribunal and the Sheriff Court.
Gillian regularly advises on commercial matters, including the TUPE aspects of corporate, property, and service change transactions. She has experience of carrying out diligence, drafting TUPE provisions and advising on risk.
