George acts in a number of areas in real estate, including development, property investment, leasing, ports and infrastructure. His clients cover a wide range – worldwide multinationals, ports, listed UK and foreign companies, private companies, private investors, public sector clients and high net worth individuals – and has been involved in a number of large and high-profile private and public sector projects.

  • Acting for the JV partner in relation to the development of the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Site (AMIDS) at Renfrewshire.
  • Acting for Clydeport Operations Limited in relation to the development of the Hunterston Parc site, including aspects relating to berthing agreements, port charges agreements and provision/sharing of common ports infrastructure.
  • Acting for Global Infrastructure Partnership LLP on the property aspects of the sale of a majority stake in Edinburgh Airport to Vinci Airports for £1.27 billion.
  • Acting for Mclaren Property in relation to the acquisition and sale of various student accommodation developments in Scotland.
  • Acting for Inchcape Offshore Wind in relation to their O&M facility based at Montrose Port and related ports agreements with CES and the port regulating berthing, charges and infrastructure.
  • Acting for AXA Investment Management in relation to the acquisition and ongoing management / redevelopment of the Thistles Shopping Centre, Stirling.
  • Leading the Shepherd and Wedderburn team advising JP MorganChase on the procurement and development of a new European technology Hub, a 14 storey 270,000 sq. ft. development in the heart of Glasgow’s International Financial District.
  • Acting for the City of Edinburgh Council in connection with the regeneration of Granton, Meadowbank and Liberton.
  • Acting for Clydeport Operations Limited in relation to a 50-year agreement with Global Ports Holdings Limited for the operation of Greenock Cruise Port, Greenock.
  • Acting for Accrue Capital (Buchanan) Limited in relation to the acquisition and ongoing letting of 106-112 Buchanan Street, and Royal Bank Place, Glasgow.
  • Acting for Virgin Money plc and Clydesdale Bank in respect of acquisitions, disposals and ongoing management of their operational properties.
  • Acting for abrdn UK Real Estate Funds ICVC in relation to the acquisition, disposal and management of a number of investment properties.
