George is a Planning and Environment solicitor, with experience in contentious and non-contentious consenting matters in Scotland and England.
He has a specific focus on the renewable and offshore wind sector. His work includes advising a range of offshore wind developers on large-scale projects in Scotland and England and knowledge of Section 36, Planning Act 2008, and Town and Country Planning Act consent regimes.
George also has knowledge of the policy and political landscape, having worked in both the UK and Scottish Parliaments, and often advises key industry stakeholders on legislative developments. He is a Trustee of the Dundee Law Centre charity.

- Advising a quarrying developer on planning agreements and consent.
- Advising on the planning elements of regulatory processes for renewable energy developers including as part of the Gate 2 Applications for solar and windfarm developers
- Advising on environmental elements of the on energy-from-waste plants including during construction phase and during sale.
- Providing planning due diligence for large and small-scale onshore and offshore renewable projects.
