Andrew is a Solicitor in our Trade and Commerce team. He works with clients across all sectors, and helping them to manage risk and capitalise on opportunities.

He has advised clients on all aspects of commercial contracts, including drafting and negotiating complex, high-value agreements and supporting with the effective delivery of business-as-usual contracts. He is frequently involved in drafting, negotiating and advising on a wide variety of commercial contracts, including business-to-business and consumer agreements for the supply of goods and services, general terms and conditions, outsourcing agreements, energy-related agreements and joint venture and collaboration agreements.

Andrew is also involved in supporting clients with international trade compliance – advising in relation to export and import controls, and sanctions regimes.

Advising a large energy company on various trading arrangements including a short-term bridging PPA product, GTMAs with various counterparties, and electronic settlement arrangements.
Advising on the negotiation of a settlement agreement to settle disputes in relation to a number of agreements for the provisions of services and utilities.
Advising on various agreements for services, including an agreement for the supply and maintenance of software including social accountability and sanctions compliance provisions.
Advising a leading demand response business on trading services agreements to trade forward transactions, complex services agreements with customers for the provision of trading services and on the negotiation of agreements with National Grid.
Advising a broadband provider on implementing Ofcom guidance prohibiting inflation-linked price increases in residential customer contracts and on various customer promotions.

International Trade

Advising a wealth manager on its application to the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation for a licence to proceed with a transaction to affect its exit from arrangements involving a Trust settled by a sanctioned person.
Advising on sanctions imposed by the UK on Russia and their impact on the inter-group supply of spare parts.
Advising on EU deforestation regulations and their impact on the import and export of ancillary products and packaging containing wood and paper.
