Shepherd and Wedderburn partners Yvonne Brady and Gillian Carty are the only Scottish solicitors to be listed in this year’s prestigious Who’s Who Legal global directory of top restructuring and insolvency practitioners.
Yvonne Brady, head of Shepherd and Wedderburn’s top-ranked restructuring and business advisory practice, and Gillian Carty, an insolvency litigation specialist with considerable experience in director misconduct and disqualification proceedings, are included in the Scotland-wide listing of the international legal directory for the fourth consecutive year.
Yvonne and Gillian’s selection follows an independent, in-depth six-month research process that canvasses and analyses the opinions of law firm clients and restructuring and insolvency experts from around the world.
The final listings are based on a range of factors, including feedback from clients and peers, past performance and the aggregate number of weighted votes cast in an individual’s favour.
This year’s edition includes almost 600 individuals practicing across over 40 jurisdictions globally, listing lawyers that research has identified as being “truly outstanding practitioners and the very best in their field”.
Commenting on Yvonne and Gillian’s inclusion in the Restructuring & Insolvency 2020 directory, Shepherd and Wedderburn Managing Partner Andrew Blain said: “It is great to see Yvonne and Gillian once again recognised by their clients and peers in this respected, independent legal directory for their market-leading legal expertise.
“Their standing as top lawyers in their field in Scotland, the UK and internationally is reflected in our Restructuring and Business Advisory practice, which has been consistently top ranked in both the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners independent legal directories.”
Who’s Who Legal currently lists 11 Shepherd and Wedderburn lawyers as being market leaders in their specific practice area.
