Shepherd and Wedderburn has acted for investment manager Baillie Gifford in securing a major commercial let.

The firm's property and infrastructure team has represented Baillie Gifford in agreeing a 20-year pre-let on a 280,000 square foot accommodation at the £350 million Haymarket Edinburgh development.

Haymarket Edinburgh is a mixed-use site currently being developed by M&G Real Estate and Qmile Group. The development is set to deliver more than 380,000 sq ft of Grade A office space along with hotel accommodation and 40,000 sq ft of retail space.

Baillie Gifford will relocate to the office in the latter half of 2023.
