Matt is a Solicitor in our Banking and Finance team.
He has experience in advising on the Scots law aspects of securitisation and debt capital markets transactions for various asset types, including residential mortgage and receivables-backed financings. Matt has also acted on some of the UK’s largest real estate finance deals, across a range of asset types including hotels, care homes, science parks and student accommodation. His practice also covers the Scottish aspects of funds finance transactions.

- Acting as Scots deal counsel on the securitisation of a pool of mortgages originated by Northern Rock known as the Granite portfolio.
- Advising the lenders on the transfer of Scottish credit card receivables as part of a portfolio sale.
