Based in the firm’s Aberdeen office, Gillian is a Partner and head of the private wealth and tax and charities teams in the north of Scotland. Gillian advises individuals and families, business and land owners and trustees on a broad range of private wealth and tax matters.
Admitted in Scotland and a registered Notary Public with the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.
Gillian specialises in complex executry work, tax planning and the creation and revision of appropriate wills, powers of attorney and trusts to complement the structural advice she gives.
Gillian often works closely with our agricultural and rural, corporate and real estate specialists to provide clients with the best advice tailored to their own circumstances. She also recognises the value in working holistically with other trusted advisers, such as accountants and financial planners.
Gillian is a fully qualified member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the global professional association for practitioners specialising in family inheritance and succession planning. She also holds the STEP advanced certificate in UK tax for international clients. Gillian is a member of the Law Society of Scotland's Trust and Succession Sub-Committee.
