Calum advises pension schemes and sponsoring employers operating across a variety of sectors and regulatory environments. He provides clear and practical advice on a wide range of issues, including benefit structures, member complaints, scheme governance, rule amendments and corporate re-structuring.

As part of the Shepherd and Wedderburn team, Calum has supported both trustees and employers in the context of material corporate activity and through a wide range of scheme amendments, including the introduction of new pension flexibilities, final salary closures and dealing with the death benefit implications of same sex marriage/civil partnership.

Calum has developed particular expertise in the area of member complaints and advises regularly on client interactions with the Pensions Ombudsman.
