Andrew advises clients on a wide range of commercial, insolvency and personal injury matters with a particular interest in contractual disputes and industrial diseases. He regularly appears in the Sheriff Court, and has experience of a variety of Court of Session actions.
Prior to joining Shepherd and Wedderburn, Andrew completed two secondments to a national clearing bank which involved liaising closely with the in-house legal team and the bank’s recoveries department. He also worked in England advising banks on a series of interest rate hedging claims in the High Court. As a result he is often called upon to apply this multi-jurisdictional experience to assist his clients in cross border disputes and regularly works closely with insolvency practitioners. He is also experienced in advising clients on debt and asset recovery.
Andrew is also the firm’s primary point of contact for personal injury matters with particular experience in personal injury procedure where he regularly advises on complicated industrial disease claims and appears in the All-Scotland Personal Injury Sheriff Court.
Andrew is admitted as a solicitor in Scotland and England and Wales.
