Alison is a director in the Banking and Finance team, advising both lenders and corporate borrowers (especially the latter) on a range of financing transactions.
She also works closely with other UK firms on Scottish aspect of cross-border transactions. Her particular expertise includes refinancings, corporate acquisitions, property finance, invoice and asset-based finance and project finance. Alison also has significant experience in the hotels sector, and in the food and drink sector.
- Acting for GAP Group, a leading UK plant and tool hire business, in the £300 million refinancing of its asset-based lending facilities with a four club bank led by RBS Invoice Finance Limited.
- Advising Safestay plc, a leading UK provider of premium hostel accommodation, on the refinance of its term loan and working capital facilities with HSBC Bank plc.
- Advising Molo Hotel Group, a hotel developer and operator, in connection with the financings of its hotel developments in Manchester, Cambridge and Liverpool.
- Acting for HSBC Invoice Finance in connection with £20 million asset-based lending facilities to an independent drinks bottler headquartered in Scotland.
- Acting for Scottish Sea Farms Limited (a pioneering Scottish salmon producer) in the refinancing of its £35 million banking facilities with DNB Bank ASA.
- Advising Scottish Enterprise, through its Renewable Energy Investment Fund, on the MeyGen Tidal Array Project.
- Acting for Moray East Offshore Windfarm (East) Limited in connection with LIBOR transition of the project financing of the Moray East windfarm.
- Part of the team advising the Public Sector Pension Investment Board and AviAlliance GmbH on the acquisition of AGS Airports (the owner of Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Southampton Airports). The deal was valued at £1.53 billion.
