Shepherd and Wedderburn underlines Glasgow aspirations with new office move

Leading UK law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn has underlined its intention to further grow its west of Scotland business with a move to a prestigious new office in Glasgow.  The firm today announced that it had agreed terms to move into a 10,500 sq ft office at 191 West George Street in June 2011.

The new premises, within one of the city’s key corporate office complexes, will give Shepherd and Wedderburn greater flexibility through more effective use of space and will enable them to grow their capacity by at least 25 per cent.  The firm has commissioned Michael Laird Architects to manage the internal design of the premises.

Shepherd and Wedderburn CEO, Patrick Andrews said: “We are delighted to have secured this tenancy which underlines our intention to further invest in our Glasgow operation. We currently have a strong practice here - with key clients such as Chivas, Scottish Enterprise, ScottishPower and Taylor Wimpey – which we aim to build on. Glasgow expansion is a key part of our future strategy, especially in sectors like renewable energy where we have established ourselves as a market leader.

“191 West George Street is a prestigious address which offers high quality, flexible accommodation with room to expand. The new premises will also enable us to make energy savings through a number of means including eco-friendly lighting and new printing systems.  We look forward to taking up residency later in the year.”
