Shepherd and Wedderburn sponsors Cancer Research UK Art Exhibition

Shepherd and Wedderburn is delighted to support Cancer Research UK’s Annual Art Exhibition and Sale of Paintings, Jewellery and Craft, which takes place in Edinburgh between 2nd and  6th December.

Cancer Research’s first Edinburgh art exhibition took place in 1968 and since then it has displayed 75,000 paintings. To date over half a million pounds has been raised through its art sales.

Shepherd and Wedderburn chief executive, Stephen Gibb said, “The art exhibition is a fantastic initiative.  It’s a real joy to browse the great works on display and have the opportunity to purchase a truly original piece.  The firm is delighted once again to be involved with the exhibition and to support the important work of Cancer Research UK.”

Adam House, once the home of the celebrated architect Robert Adam, is the a setting for the exhibition. Artists on show are predominantly Edinburgh based, but also include works by artists south of the Border and from as far afield as Spain and Australia. The craft section includes jewellery, pottery, glasswear and many other handcrafts.
