Shepherd and Wedderburn to sponsor major copyright conference

Shepherd and Wedderburn is to sponsor a major copyright conference, taking place at the Scottish National Gallery on 2 February.

Copyright and Cultural Heritage 2.0: Protecting creators, sharing content  will look at the challenges of sharing, protecting and licensing content in the digital age.  Specifically the conference will focus on the implications of new government proposals and the impact they will have on content creators and owners. The new freedoms for using copyrighted materials without first seeking permission will also be explored.

Among the impressive lineup of speakers will be Joanna Boag-Thomson, Intellectual Property Partner, Shepherd and Wedderburn.

The conference will be of interest to individuals and organisations interested in fully exploiting the value of their intellectual property.
