Shepherd and Wedderburn Hires Finance Partner from Eversheds

Leading law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn has announced the hire of Colin McKay, banking partner at Eversheds, the third new partner to be announced in as many weeks. Colin will join the Finance and Restructuring team at Shepherd and Wedderburn, working in the London and Edinburgh offices. Colin will be joining the firm in July.

Colin, who is currently lead partner for Lloyds Banking Group Commercial Banking at Eversheds, works within banking and finance - in particular the areas of corporate lending, real estate finance, acquisition finance and restructuring. He recently advised Elysian Capital LLP on the financing of its acquisition of Axis Well Technology Ltd.

Colin’s appointment follows closely behind the announcement of Sally Morris-Smith and Jonathan Rickard joining the London Real Estate & Infrastructure team from Kennedy’s and Addleshaw Goddard respectively.

Also joining the London Real Estate & Infrastructure team as an Associate in early August is Lisa Renwick a senior solicitor from Kennedys. Lisa is dual qualified and has 8 years’ experience in all types of commercial property acting for property companies, high net worth individuals, and banking panel clients both north and south of the border.
