Shepherd and Wedderburn admit new partners to key sector practices

At leading law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn, John Grady and Scott Ritchie become partners further strengthening its leading position in the global energy and real estate sectors.

John Grady specialises in contractual and regulatory matters in the utility sectors and has extensive experience of advising on significant energy issues. As former in-house counsel at ScottishPower and during his time at Shepherd and Wedderburn, John has justifiably earned a reputation as a  leading expert in the sector. His insight and expertise have been deployed throughout the UK in transactions such as the 500MW interconnector between Scotland and Northern Ireland, New Electricity Trading Arrangements in England (NETA) and the unification of Scottish and English electricity markets, (BETTA).

Scott Ritchie is a real estate expert and advises clients across the sector on development, landlord and tenant, asset management and investments. His strong technical skills and commercial awareness have been demonstrated in a number of high value complex transactions.
