Impressive speaker line-up at All-Energy

Shepherd and Wedderburn is playing a leading role at All-Energy 2015, billed as the largest renewables event in the UK.

The leading law firm is a headline sponsor of the event, which is taking place at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre on 6 and 7 May, and many of its 90-strong energy and natural resources team will either be attending, speaking or chairing sessions over the two days.

Speaking of the firm’s involvement, Clare Foster, Partner and Head of Project Finance said:

“Given the location of two of our main Scottish offices (Glasgow and Edinburgh) it’s a real bonus that the host city this year is Glasgow, a city which is attracting a well-deserved reputation for ‘best in class’ practice in the low carbon arena. At the conference, Clare will be joined by Timothy Cornelius, Chief Executive, Atlantis Resources, in sharing  her unique experience and insight on the challenges faced when seeking to achieve financial close of the world’s first commercial tidal array project.  Delegates have two chances to join this presentation entitled: …and they said it couldn’t be done, which takes place on Wednesday 6th May and again on the following day. Clare has also worked with Green Investment Bank to develop its new product, the Green Loan, and so is well placed to also chair and introduce:  Acceleration of energy efficiency in Scotland and funding innovations which takes place on 7th May. The event will also feature quick-fire presentations on an array of topics courtesy of 30 speakers, including Shepherd and Wedderburn Partner, Stephen Hubner. Stephen will share his thoughts on the lessons to be learned from large scale offshore wind farms, while his colleague, Ian Mitchell will provide top tips for community energy schemes in one of the legal advice sessions on offer.
