Is your business ready for Shared Parental Leave?

On 1 December 2014 the shared parental leave regime comes into force. Is your business ready?

It’s not long to go until the new shared parental leave regime comes into force on 1 December 2014. Have you:

  • prepared a shared parental leave policy and style notices for employees to use?
  • amended your existing family leave polices?
  • decided whether to extend any maternity enhancements to employees on shared parental leave?
  • checked to see if your pension scheme documentation needs amended?

Shared parental leave applies to children due to be born or placed for adoption on or after 5 April 2015.
