The European Union’s second Payment Services Directive came into force on 13 January 2016 and Member States have until 13 January 2018 to transpose it into national law. In February of this year, the UK Government published the consultation paper ‘Implementation of the revised EU Payment Services Directive II’ to invite views on its approach towards implementing the Directive. Feedback from the Consultation was published on 19 July 2017.
