In this first webinar of our three-part series, we look at the legal basis for ownership of data. Data is not just about the GDPR, although that is an essential part of data management. Copyright, database rights and the distinction between rights in data and rights in the database will be considered. Practical steps including how to document who created the database and how rights might be managed with contracts will also be discussed.
