Pak Chien was formerly APAC general counsel of a NASDAQ-listed global provider of specialised information, solutions and consultancy services, across a wide range of industries including Energy, Oil & Gas, Defence & Aerospace, Automotive, Maritime & Trade and Financial Markets.
He managed a diverse team of lawyers and paralegals across the APAC region covering commercial legal, regulatory, governance and compliance matters. Pak Chien was a member of both the Global Extended Leadership (ELT) as well as the APAC Executive Leadership Teams. In addition, he was acting regional leader from August 2015 to January 2017.
As former APAC general counsel, Asian family office lawyer, private practitioner and business leader, Pak Chien brings unique and diverse skillsets and perspectives. He is well-placed to understand the evolving needs of global corporate clients operating in agile and dynamic business environments, especially in Asia.
Pak Chien has over 20 years of professional experience. His specialisations and skillsets include internet law, technology, intellectual property, digital payments, banking, e-commerce, telecommunications, competition, online and traditional gaming, mergers and acquisitions.
Pak Chien holds a LLM (Merit) specialising in Internet Law from the University College London. He was called to the Bar of England & Wales in 1995 (non-vocational), and admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor in Singapore in 1997 (non-practising). He is currently in the process of gaining admission to the UK roll of solicitors.
Pak Chien is a Singaporean citizen and based in the Singapore office. As senior advisor, he covers APAC technology and regulatory matters for clients.
