Jonathan is the head of our London office, and leads the Real Estate team for property transactions across England & Wales.

He has broad experience acting for occupiers, investors and funders. The insight gained from this breadth of experience enables him to take a practical and commercial approach to managing property transactions.

Key clients include Cordatus, Deutsche Hypo, Scoop, ICG-Longbow, Buccleuch, Accrue Capital and a number of Middle Eastern family offices.

  • Acting for Miller Developments on a JV between Miller Developments and a Kuwaiti Pension Fund on the redevelopment of the Walnuts Shopping Centre in Orpington (comprising a new cinema led leisure development and standalone turnkey Premier Inn). Subsequently leading the team on the corporate sale of the SPV owning entities to a Patrizia fund for a price of £44 million.
  • Acting for Bayern LB (a large German bank) on the sale of their London office headquarters and relocation to new premises on London Wall and subsequent relocation to 37th Floor, 8 Bishopsgate..
  • Acting for Ellandi LLP (now NewRiver) and their partners on  the acquisition management and sale in connection with 11 of their shopping centres
  • Acting for Scoop, a shopping centre investment manager, on a joint venture funded by AXA on the purchase of the Thistle Centre, Stirling and then the implementation of their asset management strategy.
  • Acting for Scoop on the acquisition by Melcorpo of the St Catherines Shopping Centre,Carmarthen.
  • Acting for Cordatus LP in connection with the management of their investment portfolio across the UK, comprising in excess of 40 assets including the sale of the Cantium Portfolio comprising 10 multi-let industrial estates to a Blackstone owned fund.
  • Acting for a Sharia-funded vehicle established by Gatehouse Bank plc on the purchase of the Mint Building, Leeds; the corporate headquarters of Jet2 Holidays.
  • Acting for a Sharia-funded vehicle established by Gatehouse Bank plc on the purchase of the Greyhound Retail Park, Chester the premier out of town home furnishings destination in the north-west from Land Securities for a purchase price in excess of £65,000,000.
  • Acting for Deutsche Hypo/NordLB on the funding of the acquisition of Broad Gate, Leeds; a mixed use office and retail development  – provision of a £46.75m facility to a vehicle ultimately controlled by the National Bank of Kuwait.
  • Acting for Deutsche Hypo/NordLB on the refinance of a portfolio of 4 office buildings on the City fringe and funding the acquisition of New River Yard; a fully let office development – provision of a £54 million facility to the Recanati Family. 
  • Acting for Deutsche Hypo/NordLB on the refinancing the acquisition by Feldberg Capital of 8 Bloomsbury, Ariel House in Fitzrovia and 21-25 Bedford Street, Covent Garden.
  • Acting for Deutsche Hypo/NordLB on the refinancing by Barings of the Vox BTR development and the Landmark office development both in Manchester.
  • Acting for ICG-Longbow on the acquisition of a portfolio of 9 data centres for Edge Datacentres.
  • Acting for ICG-Longbow on the funding of the acquisition and enabling works for the new Molins datacentre at High Wycombe.
