Specialising in International Disputes, Claire’s practice comprises both international arbitration and litigation arising from damages claims made in relation to cartel activity. In the field of international arbitration, Claire has considerable experience of commercial arbitration, under both institutional (including International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), London Court of Arbitration (LCIA) and International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR)) and ad hoc rules.

Claire also has broad experience of investor-state arbitration, representing investors in claims against states such as Turkey, Lithuania and Kazakhstan. In both the commercial and investor-state spheres, Claire’s experience encompasses industries ranging from energy to hospitality.

In addition, Claire represents both Claimants and Defendants in cartel damages claims before the Competition Appeal Tribunal and the courts of England and Wales, advising on some of the largest and most complex claims that have arisen in this area.
