Shepherd and Wedderburn congratulates winners of the 2016 Digital Technology Awards

On Wednesday, companies at the cutting edge of Scotland’s flourishing technology sector gathered at Glasgow’s Old Fruitmarket to celebrate innovation and excellence across the industry at the Digital Technology Awards 2016.

Now in its sixth year, the prestigious competition is organised by ScotlandIS, the trade body for Scotland’s digital industries.

To reward the vision and expertise of Scotland’s digital company leaders, this year’s awards saw the introduction of the CEO of the Year category, a new award sponsored by Shepherd and Wedderburn.

On the night, Stephen Trombala, a partner in the firm’s corporate team who recently advised Scottish tech company, FanDuel in its US$275m Series E equity financing, was on hand to congratulate the winner, Brian Ferrie, CEO of Edge Testing, and present him with the award.

Brian Ferrie was recognised by this year’s prestigious judging panel, made up of leading industry figures, for his efforts in growing the business from its foundation in 2007 to one of the leading independent suppliers of software testing solutions in the UK today, employing over 150 staff.
