Shepherd and Wedderburn acts for Whyte & Mackay in purchase of regional distribution hub
Shepherd and Wedderburn acted for the distiller and global whisky brand, Whyte & Mackay, in the purchase from Asda of a 127,000 square foot logistics facility at DC2, West Mains Industrial Estate, Grangemouth.
The deal, believed to be one of this year’s largest industrial transactions in east central Scotland, reflects the continued activity in the industrial market.
The food and drink industry is spread throughout Scotland with particular concentrations in the Central Belt and Fife. Invest in Fife report that in last six years, over £420 million has been invested in Fife from businesses operating in the food and drink sector, creating 1011 jobs.
