We are delighted to welcome you to the first in our series of webinars, which focus on current issues in telecommunications. This webinar takes place on 22 January and will look at fixed-mobile convergence, including an examination of recent mergers in the European telecoms sector as well as our predictions on further consolidation in the UK and elsewhere.
Further down the line, future webinars will cover the regulatory landscape and explore the question of whether telecoms regulators are equipped to respond to emerging technologies and new network models. Broadcasting will also feature in the series, and there will be a discussion on margin squeeze in the telecoms environment. Finally, we will round up our series by focusing on claims for follow-on damages in the sector and prospects for funded litigation, an area where we are highly active.
Dates for future webinars in the series will be confirmed shortly.
This webinar will be of particular relevance to professionals within the telecoms sector and to those with exposure to competition law issues.
The webinar series will be hosted by Gordon Moir and the Shepherd and Wedderburn telecommunications (competition and regulatory) team. Acknowledged as experts in the telecommunications, media and technology (TMT) space, Gordon and his team work across a variety of TMT transactions and issues globally, acting for many of the largest global TMT organisations, as well as regulators and industry associations.
