Shepherd and Wedderburn would like to invite you to our "Low Carbon" educational evening in support of leading Scottish Children's charity - Children 1st on Thursday 29th November at 6.30pm at our Edinburgh office.
As part of our ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility commitment we are taking part in a unique and innovative Children 1st charity "Dragon's Glen" competition based on the hit BBC TV series "Dragons Den".
Each team competing has been tasked to raise money on behalf of Children 1st in an original way - our Low Carbon educational event is part of our fundraising plan.
On the night guests will enjoy complimentary food and drinks with views of the backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. All guests will also have the opportunity to learn more about the Low Carbon world and the global push towards a green economy.
Children 1st will be in attendance on the night giving real life examples of their on-going work in and around Edinburgh. We will also aim to educate attendees on the links between the welfare of children and the low carbon economy in relation to tackling fuel poverty and the benefits that Low Carbon projects can have for organisations, businesses and wider communities. The push to green really does affect all aspects of society. We hope that all attendees will leave the event having a better understanding of how Low Carbon effects their organisations as well as the opportunities and challenges which it creates.
As we aim to raise as much money as possible in aid of Children 1st we ask that all those wishing to attend on the evening make a donation of their choosing towards Children 1st and the excellent work they do in our community.
On the evening we will be running an auction with some excellent items up for the highest bidder! Shepherd and Wedderburn will be auctioning £5,000 of free "Low Carbon" related advice to one lucky organisation or individual on the evening - if you would like to make a bid for this in advance of the event please contact Paul Young on firstname.lastname@example.org or +44 (0)131 473 5439.
We would be delighted to see you and your colleagues on the evening and please spread the word to those you think may be interested in what is set to be an entertaining and educational event for a fantastic local cause.
Should you wish to make a donation towards Children 1st for attending our event or alternatively if you are unable to make the event but still wish to donate then please do so via the link below:
