This seminar will explore the resolution of disputes in the Energy sector and looking at how litigation can be avoided, both through the application of practical steps for avoidance or early cure and through the use of alternative dispute resolution procedures. In particular we will look at:

  • How to play the game – the use of behavioural psychology in dispute resolution and negotiation
  • A discussion of the advantages and disadvantages in dispute resolution processes in the energy industry
  • Analysis of Ofgem’s guidance on the determination of disputes for use of system or connection to energy networks
