The recent surge in the popularity and proliferation of social media services has created some very interesting but very serious challenges for employers. Whilst social media can be used as an effective marketing tool, it can also be misused and even abused by employees to various ends.
This seminar will look at the challenges created by the use of social media in the workplace and help employers to understand what their rights and responsibilities are as regards monitoring of their employees' online actions. It will also look at what rights employers may have (if any) over the content of social media accounts used by employees.
This seminar will be of interest to employers or HR professionals who use or have an interest in social media and those interested in privacy rights when using information generally. This will also be of interest to anyone who uses social media extensively outside of the working environment.
