This week the political groups will spend most of their time preparing for next week's plenary in Strasbourg.
Strasbourg was decided as a site for the parliament after the World War II and was seen as a symbol of Franco-German reconciliation. However many feel that to decamp to Strasbourg once a month is now inappropriate, and costs the taxpayer 200 million Euros a year. There is currently a campaign to relocate the parliament permanently to Brussels.
Seventy Dutch students will be taking part in the YOU4UROPE reflection tour. A tour organised by secondary schools in the Netherlands. The Dutch voted no to the EU Constitution last year along with the French. Both votes have put the future of the EU Constitution into question.
This week both the Health and Education Commissioners are meeting in Canada, and the President Josep Borell meets with the Prime Minister of Belgium.
