Planning Policy Statement 25: Development and flood risk

The aim of the revision is to focus on national planning policy and to provide clarity on what is required at regional and local levels to ensure that decisions are made at the most appropriate level and in a timely fashion to deliver sustainable planning for development and flood risk.

Planning-gain Supplement: a consultation
This consultation forms part of the Government's response to Kate Barker's recommendation for a Planning-gain Supplement (PGS).  PGS would capture a modest portion of the increase in land value created by the grant of planning permission, to help finance the infrastructure needed to stimulate and service housing growth and ensure that local communities better share in the benefits that growth brings.
