Experience

We support for a large global carrier in identification of new laws and regulations over a range of subjects. The monitoring system covers all of the major jurisdictions globally, providing a filtered feed of relevant issues and thus an early warning system that allows the client to address how to respond at an early stage and to incorporate any relevant regulatory measures into their compliance program.
Advised a carrier on the regulatory issues arising from constructing and landing a subsea cable in a specific African jurisdiction and providing services on that cable. We also provided our client with some preliminary commercial advice on the request for proposal calling for the construction of the cable and provided some indicative comments on structuring arrangements with contractors to flow through obligations from the head contract.
Advised a possible acquirer of a data centre with a prospective cable landing station in the UK, including reviewing the provisions of the underlying draft cable landing station agreements and ancillary documentation and advising our client on various issues relating to the subsea cable.
Advised an African operator on the provisions of an agreement to form a consortium to land a subsea cable in Africa.
Advising a global carrier on a major anti-trust damages claim in the French courts.
