The use of drones in the countryside continues to grow. Whilst drones do offer both recreational and commercial users the opportunity to explore the countryside in a relatively unique capacity, as is the case with any new technology, there is a need to use drones responsibly, legally and to balance the competing rights of others. This webinar will provide an overview of the current law in the UK relating to the use of drones, including an update on recent legislative developments, and the UK Government’s proposals to introduce new powers in relation to drone use and enforcement.
We will explain what drone pilots and operators must do to ensure responsible drone use that will be applicable to a number of scenarios, including: (1) the recreational user; (2) the professional photographer or videographer; and (3) surveyors and other professionals using drones for infrastructure inspection. We will also look at what remedies and options are open to a landowner when there is irresponsible or illegal drone use over or near to their property.
