Stephen has, for more than 35 years, provided advice to clients with interests in commercial real estate, whether as an occupier, investor or funder. He works with clients across a variety of sectors, ranging from renewable energy projects to education, and from telecommunications to health care.
In particular, Stephen has been recognised as a leading practitioner in commercial property matters, corporate taxation (with particular reference to offshore property investment structures) and clean energy projects. He has advised clients on projects in every round of offshore wind farm development in UK waters, in the creation and aggregation of onshore solar and wind farms, and in developing strategies for energy storage. Stephen also assists UK and international clients from the public and private sectors with investment and development portfolios, providing strategic and corporate governance advice to those working with and for the energy sector, and higher education institutions in developing international programmes in many countries, including Australia, France, India, Italy, New Zealand, Switzerland, the UK and the USA.
