Shepherd and Wedderburn holds Pensions Hot Topics Seminars

Nearing the end of a year that has seen some of the most significant reforms to pension savings for 100 years, leading UK law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn is hosting two breakfast seminars on the legal issues affecting pensions today.

Led by the firm’s pensions team, Hot Topics 2015 will address pensions tax changes and the new flexibilities, developments in Europe and the implications for UK pensions, including a potential Brexit, as well as the recent employer covenant guidance. Shepherd and Wedderburn’s expert pension lawyers will also comment on the key issues for 2016.

Louisa Knox, a partner in the firm’s pensions team commented: “In the fast-moving pensions environment it is critical to stay on top of legislative changes. Our Pensions Hot Topics Seminar will provide insight into recent developments in Europe and the implications for UK pensions. We will also take a look at the top five pensions issues for the year ahead.”

The seminars, aimed at pension scheme trustees, finance directors, pension and HR managers and pension consultants will be held on Tuesday, 3 November in Edinburgh and Thursday, 5 November in Glasgow. Both events are free to attend.
